Year 3 is taught by Mr Brixey with Mrs Smith as the Teaching Partner and Mrs Goddard supporting a specific child within the classroom.
There is a careful and gradual transition from the end of Year 2 to Year 3 which prepares children for the increasing expectations of them as they move into Key Stage 2. The children embed their learning in a supportive and caring environment.
There are no statutory assessments carried out at the end of the year, however and teacher assessments are used to make judgements about how well your child is performing in reading, writing, maths, science, speaking and listening and spelling, punctuation and grammar throughout the year.
