At Queen Margaret Primary School we recognise the significant influence families have on their children and learning. We are developing and expanding our ' Learning Together' sessions to reflect our commitment to working together in a meaningful way to improve learning.
A series of Learning Together sessions are run by our EYFS (Reception team) across the academic year. We have also established a set of Learning Together sessions for the rest of the school each term. These have a a focus on Reading, writing and Maths and we encourage all parents to attend.
We have established Theme Celebrations afternoons where parents are invited to come into school to celebrate their children's achievements in themed learning, whether that be a vibrant whole school display or class assembly. This has extended to parents coming in to take part in themed learning e.g. designing and launching rockets in Year 5. We see this as an opportunity to value and celebrate learning together in partnership.
As well as working alongside your children in these sessions we encourage parents to come into school to hear readers, attend curriculum visits and assist in our swimming sessions. This involvement is very much appreciated by our school team and children alike.
